Brew Kits

Brew kits are sold through most brewer’s supply outlets. These packages are the ideal way for the beginner to start out, as they usually come with all of the basic equipment needed for brewing beer. In most cases however, additional supplies will also be needed.

Brew pots are often left out of most brew kits, but are vital to the brewing process. Most of brewing supply retailers will be able to supply you with a dedicated pot, but in reality any large steel pot will suffice. The only real requirement is that it be large enough to accommodate the volume of beer for a given recipe.

Brew kits are often sold without the beer making ingredients. This is largely due to the fact that there are so many different types of beer. By eliminating the ingredients from these kits, the brewer is allowed to choose what kind of beer he/she wants to make and then buy the appropriate ingredients.
