Most experts recommend that novice brewers start out by investigating the various brewing kits that are available through most suppliers. Some kits come with a wide variety of equipment, allowing for a variety of beer recipes. Others are only designed to provide one with the most basic equipment.
Some brewing kits will be sold with the necessary ingredients for a specific type of beer, while others come with no ingredients at all. If you’re just looking to try your hand at beer making, buying a kit with the ingredients is the way to go. However, if you have a specific type of beer that you want to try making, buying the latter kit is the better option as it allows you to choose your own ingredients.
The hardware sold in brewing kits can also vary from retailer to retailer. In most cases, basic items such as a fermenter, carboys, and stoppers are included. However, additional items such as a brew pot and, as previously mentioned, ingredients are often left out of these kits.
